A very special thank you to Sophie Dodds, 2023 Womens Captain at Cotswold Hills Golf Club for choosing Allsorts as her charity for 2023.
Sophie explains more below…
‘On being asked to be captain of Cotswold Hills Golf Club for 2023 last year I immediately knew which charity I wanted to support and raise money for, Allsorts.
Through a friend, I know how families that have children with additional needs need the care, love and support Allsorts offers. It is completely invaluable and allows parents and carers to talk to people that share the same experiences.
This year, as Womens Captain, I will be running specific events, raffles and auctions to raise money and awareness for Allsorts. There will also be more specific golf related events such as a captains charity bunker on the 9th hole, a beat the pro challenge hole on my captains day and also the women’s section guessing the distance of my drive on my first day in office where all proceeds will go to Allsorts.
In late December myself and my male co-club captain ran a Christmas quiz where we promoted our chosen charities for the first time which received a great reaction from our members. We also raffled off three Christmas themed hampers and raised a great £227 for each of our charities! I will keep Allsorts updated on the amounts raised and the different events that have taken place.’
