A group of Allsorts families recently stepped back in time for a magical journey on the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway, travelling from Cheltenham Racecourse to Toddington and back.
With two carriages just for Allsorts, there was plenty of space to relax, play games and soak up the excitement of a heritage steam railway winding through the stunning Cotswold countryside. At Toddington station, families paused for a picnic before hopping back on board to continue the adventure.
“It was amazing to go on a trip where we could enjoy quality time together as a family with the support from the Allsorts team. The boys loved watching the train pull in to pick us up, waving their souvenir flags. Having help from the Allsorts team made it so juggling two children on my own was less stressful and more enjoyable.”

“Loved all of it really! Well organised, Allsorts staff were on hand and friendly and we had a great day. Having fun and spending time with other families — a great dad and son day out together making memories.”

We’re so grateful to E G Carter, a Gloucestershire based construction firm, who generously supported this trip as part of their 80th anniversary celebrations. They are backing 80 local charities in 2025 and we’re delighted Allsorts could be one of them.
For many of our families, everyday experiences like these are about much more than a train ride. They are opportunities to connect, to feel supported, and to enjoy simple joys as part of a community where everyone belongs.
