YuGo: Our new social impact company

YuGo is a brand-new trading arm created by Allsorts. It’s aim is to increase opportunities for people to exercise and lead healthier lives in Gloucestershire. Having learnt so much from their pioneering sports programme for young disabled people, we wanted to make sure that no-one misses out on engaging physical exercise designed for them. YuGo is also dedicated to raising funds for Allsorts via surplus profit.

YuGo is for anyone who wants have fun and enjoy exercise with intuitive and trustworthy coaches. They might have had a previous bad experience or struggle to find exercise which suits them. Either way the YuGo team’s approach makes sure no one is left behind. This can be done on a 1:1 basis or in small groups via their specialist personal trainers. All programmes are built around variety and choice aiming to make exercise achievable and engaging.

Company founder and Head of Sport at Allsorts, Max Pemberton says “We know there is a real need for bespoke and meaningful exercise both for disabled people and for those left behind by traditional methods. Exercise is a very personal choice, that’s why we want to work alongside individuals to make sure they are getting the most out of their experience with us. In the long term, this means happier, healthier people enjoying exercise on a regular basis.”

The company also works alongside educational facilities to bridge the gap between school and community sport. By focusing on both recreational and competitive activities, they support schools and colleges to develop and showcase the talents of their students in a rewarding way. They are available as consultants in the field of disability sport and exercise and can work alongside education providers to deliver appropriate messages to students.

Rosa Barratt, Head of Development at the charity said “Our motivation behind YuGo is to make sure Allsorts has a diverse range of income streams supporting our activity programme for young disabled people. Fundraising in the charity sector continues to be challenging and competitive therefore we hope YuGo will play a big part in helping to make Allsorts more future-proof, as well as offering vital healthcare services to the community.”

The company has been operating under Allsorts for some time but is now launching as YuGo in the hope that even more people can access engaging physical exercise.
