What’s on at Allsorts – including a Compassion Fatigue Workshop for parent carers, exclusive use of the sensory room and play space, after school softball and football clubs, and siblings group.


Indoor Play Sessions – use the Toy Library Play Space and Sensory Room! 
Saturdays 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th and 31st October
Do you need a clean, safe space to play and find it difficult to visit other venues?
Email Clarissa for a discussion about booking the Toy Library space including use of our super sensory room.
Hourly play sessions are available to current members on Saturday mornings through October.
Use is limited to one family at a time.

The Toy Library is open for the borrowing of our very clean toys and equipment.  Click Bookings to see our socially distanced borrowing process with weekly collections or delivery on Tuesdays.
If you’re tired of doing everything online, no problem! We can call you to chat about which toys to borrow and book them out for you.

Siblings Group by Zoom
Thursday 17th September
A new group for the siblings of children with disabilities and additional needs – offering fun and friendship with quizzes, challenges, show & tell and child-led activities.

We’ll continue our outdoor sessions during the Autumn, whilst the weather is kind! Digital fitness sessions are also full steam ahead and we eagerly await announcements from the Government with guidelines to return to indoor sports activities.

Fitness by Zoom returns in September:

  • £7.50  – join Claudia for weekly Yoga Classes on Saturdays: 3.30pm for those who can stand and sit and lie, 4.20pm for those who can sit and lie. (please contact Max to check yoga dates/times during half term)
  • £5 – join in with our weekly Family Fitness Fun sessions from home on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, 3.30-4.20pm

Let’s get together in nature to talk and support each other through these challenging times.
Small group walks around Westonbirt plus other locations of your choice with up to 5 other parents and carers and our family coordinator Clarissa.

Crafty Carers

Join Allsorts parent carers for an afternoon of creativity and chat in the spacious grounds of beautiful Kinghill House.  We have a marquee in case of rain and enough space for a small group to meet without compromising social distancing guidance.  Free Craft activities including leaf printing or bunting making led by a professional artist from ArtSpace and emotional support is available from our families coordinator Clarissa.  Bring a picnic lunch to enjoy together before getting crafty!

Compassion Fatigue: workshop for parent carers

These are tiring times for most families and being a parent carer means you work harder than most.  It’s only human to “run out of steam” when you look after others, but there are ways to build yourself back up. Join us as we explore this commonplace but challenging aspect of being a parent carer, hosted with Gloucestershire Carers Hub.

Special Educational Needs and Disability Information, Advice and Support Service are visiting Allsorts to answer your questions about personal budgets, EHCPs, school transport, SEN funding for children and young people aged 0-25.

Allsorts grandparents group previously met monthly in pubs or cafes around the county.  Until big group gatherings are possible, we meet by zoom and new members are really welcome to join this friendly, supportive group.
