Earlier this year, we welcomed several new recruits to the Allsorts team, with Kate Rodman joining as Head of Families.
Some of our members may recognise Kate from Allsorts activities, having been a member with her son for almost five years.
Kate and the Allsorts team have big plans for our families programme, starting with our freshly developed Parent and Carer Support offer. This includes our popular Grandparents Group, alongside the newly launched Parent and Carer Workshops.
Parent and Carer Workshops
During each term, we will be hosting regular Monday morning (9.30-12pm) Parent & and Carer Support Workshops delivered by guest speakers. The sessions will cover a broad range of topics such as EHCP’s, education and learning, self-care, behaviour strategies and managing key transitions, to name a few.
Workshops will be themed across the coming months, to support parents at each stage of their child’s development from early years through to young adults.
During these sessions members will have the opportunity to meet other parents in a similar situation and share experiences over coffee.
We’re thrilled to be launching our new parent carer workshop programme for autumn/winter. We hope members facing various challenges will find something valuable in one or more of the sessions listed. Please do get in touch if you need further information on any of our workshops or have a suggestion for a future session.
