Short Breaks Activity Leader

Location: Stroud and Gloucestershire
Responsible to: Short Breaks Co-ordinator
Work hours: 12-16 hours per week with main work hours on Saturdays
Salary: £22,620 pro rata full time equivalent, pro rate £7238.40 for 12
hours, £9651.20 for 16 hours per annum.
ABOUT THIS ROLE: The purpose of this role is to deliver an outstanding quality of
social and recreational activities for disabled young adults. The
Short Breaks Activity Leader will be responsible for on-the day
running of clubs and the delivery of activities. They will be
responsible for coordinating support workers within the club
and some administrative tasks.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. The delivery of high quality social and recreational activities for disabled children
and young adults.
2. Full implementation and overseeing of Allsorts policies and procedures within
activities, including Health and Safety, Safeguarding, and Data Protection.
3. Responsibility for the smooth running of the short break club and the management
of staff.
4. Supervising support workers and volunteers, to ensure that they are performing
their duties to agreed standards, and within Allsorts policies and procedures.
5. To liaise with parents and carers to ensure that the young people aree getting the
most they can from their time at their Short Break.
6. Ensuring that Allsorts activities are run in a flexible, member-led way and that a
dynamic approach is taken to ensuring that members and participants are included,
engaged and involved in the way that they wish to be.
