Easter Fun 2022!

This Easter holidays, Allsorts families enjoyed getting out and about with a very busy Family Trips programme.

We were in Cirencester dodging the rain to play and picnic at an inclusive playground in Paternoster School, strolling in the sunshine for our family walk and crafts at Westonbirt Arboretum where families made some amazing willow bird feeders.

We all got happily soaked at our Pool Party in Cheltenham, where Allsorts had exclusive use of the accessible teaching pool and the crazy splash pad area at [email protected] centre.

It was exciting to make contact with new organisations – like Sailability at Frampton Upon Severn Sailing Club who hosted Allsorts families to spend an afternoon on the lakes, trying their hand at steering on the fully accessible boat and zipping about on the little Wanderers and Gulls.

But there was something special about returning to an old favourite too. Our last big coach trip in 2019 was to Cotswold Wildlife Park and it felt fitting that our first coach trip after the pandemic should be a return visit.  Over one hundred Allsorts members spent the day exploring and it felt so good to be back there together.  Even though we break off in to smaller groups to explore, families tell us that they like knowing Allsorts are there to lend a hand, whether they are exploring with members of the team, bumping into familiar faces by the penguins or meeting up on the great lawn for the lunchtime picnic.  It all helps to feel part of a lively, supportive community.
