Pay: £17.00 – £22.00 depending on experience + travel

£10 – 5 miles or more from National Star College
About Allsorts
Allsorts is a charity that supports children with additional needs, aged 0 – 25. We have a thriving Swimming Programme that includes swimming lessons for disabled children, and recreational swimming sessions for families. Our club takes place in the warm water of National Star College, Cheltenham, on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. We have exclusive use of the swimming pool, which enables us to provide the best possible experience for our members.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
We are looking for Level 2 swimming teachers to join our team and help us to provide more lessons for our members. We follow the learn to swim programme via Swim England, which we modify where appropriate to meet the needs and engagement levels of our members. We deliver 30-minute swimming lessons across a two-hour period (4 lessons total).
Person Specification
Essentials:
- A Level 2 Swim Teaching certificate.
- Experience teaching in a swimming pool.
- A willingness to learn new skills to support children with additional needs to access and learn to swim.
- A positive attitude towards disability and enabling children with additional needs to learn to swim, or to be safe in water.
Desirables:
- Previous or existing experience supporting children or adults with additional needs, in any environment.
- Previous or existing experience supporting or teaching children or adults with additional needs, within a swimming pool.
- Safeguarding experience for children and / or adults, in any environment.
