Picnics & playgrounds


A fully accessible picnic & play area in Wotton under Edge, on the B4060 Dursley Road, Wotton under Edge GL12 7P. A great venue where there’s an on-site car park, toilet facilities and an entirely self-contained play area, a sandpit, swings, carousel, wendy house, water play area & a football area (take your own ball). There is some shelter in case of rain.

Saul Playground

An accessible playground with satellite swings, a flowing play water feature that can be accessed from a wheelchair, sand play and a play road with trikes (including a Tomcat trike) plus an indoor changing area. Saul can be found just beyond Frampton on Severn off the A38, postcode GL2 7LW.

Fairlinch Campsite Braunton, North Devon.

Only open for the month of August annually. Not accessible for wheelchair users and there are only basic facilities, but clean showers & toilets.

The site is a large field with fabulous views but enclosed all the way around with secure hedgerows. A great location if you have noisy and energetic children as there is always space to pitch your tent a good distance from anyone else. Visit their website for more information.

The Mobiloo recognises the gap in facilities for disabled people. Its unique, mobile facility offers the right of access to the more rural locations, festivals, activities and events in Gloucestershire.
